Our Story

Established in 2017, Bower Building Group is a custom residential builder specialising in projects of varying sizes, from complex new builds to small additions, across the South Coast and Southern Highlands.

We think building a home works better with real communication — not just reassurance. That means honest numbers, honest timelines, and a process where you're actually involved in the decisions, not just updated on them.

Led by licensed builder Braidan Thorncroft, who brings over a decade of industry experience, we work directly with you from the first conversation through to handover. Strong relationships with trusted trades and reputable suppliers, built up over years rather than sourced job to job, are what let us bring the same level of care to every project — whatever its scale.

Yes — we have direct experience working on BAL-40 and Flame Zone rated properties, which carry stricter construction requirements than standard builds. If your site falls into one of these zones, that's a conversation worth having early, before design work locks anything in.
Not necessarily. If you already have plans or are working with a designer, we'll build around them. If you don't, we can guide you through that process too.
